windows help: why is it taking a lot of time when I right click on a file?

For instance, I want to rename a file.. usualy if I right click the menu will pop up instantly.. however now I have to wait 2 seconds or more... what is wrong?

Did a reboot help? Do you have any AV software or processor intensive programs running?

a lot of software running on the background? free some memory+cpu resources....
to rename files, use F2. faster&easier.
