I'm wondering if there's an application available to help me create my own Help and Support Center, similar to the Windows hardware/software troubleshooter.
Basically, I want to know if I can write my own troubleshooting items to import into the windows troubleshooter. I know I can write windows help files, but I'd prefer the troubleshooter setup, where users can move through steps like a flow-chart.
I'd like to do this to decrease the amount of support tickets put in by the helpdesk staff, by having them follow the troubleshooter steps. I'd like to add/edit articles, so I could include software-specific steps for applications used on campus.
Anyone?
Latest Edit: Apparently, what I'm looking for is called a "Bayesian troubleshooter". I found some mention about the Microsoft Troubleshooter Editor, and its successor, the Microsoft Troubleshooter Designer, but can't seem to find any information from Microsoft on these tools...
Instead of a Bayesian troubleshooter, a simple "if-then" would work...
Edit: Sorry for the short post; I'll add more in about an hour; My battery is about to die on my laptop...
Edit 2: So apparently my battery needs to be recalibrated, because I've been running at 0% for about 15 minutes now...
