Windows GPO Administered Offline Files

Saga

Banned
Scenario: "My Documents" folder automatically redirected to local file share for the sake of backing up user data.

Problem: user1 uses machine on domain, GPO applies offline files to user 1. Everytime user1 logs on/off the Offline Files synchronization runs. user1 no longer uses machine and machine is given to user2. Now everytime user2 logs off it attempts to synchronize both user1 and then user2. How is user1 removed from the synchronization so that it only attempts to synchronize user2? The profile folder for user2 has already been deleted from Documents and Settings.

Suggestions?

Is the GPO linked to an OU that the 'user1' is in? Check to see if this is the case, then either remove him from the OU or disable the account. See if that works.

user1 is disabled and removed to a different OU entirely - one not under the GPO that manages the offline files.
