Question Windows get resized after running games

this is a new bug. every time i run a game or full screen app, and exit out and access other apps that are already running, they are resized to a much smaller window size. Like here the Personalization screen is smaller and I always have to drag to resize it. The games are the same resolution as the desktop. minimizing does nothing, as the apps are already minimized into tray. All this didn't happen until recently. So something must have been affected

First, double check that the resolution in the game settings is the same as the desktop
Next, right click on the program, find the compatibility settings, and check if the game is in low resolution compatibility mode


If troubleshooting is too difficult, here are two compromise solutions to avoid the problem

1. Check whether the game has the option of windowing.
2. If the game does not require high computer performance, you can run the game in a Windows sandbox or a virtual machine.

I play a dozen games, they are all set to 1920x1080, my desktop resolution. none of them have compatibility tweaks. Some games are modern games, some are small like a puzzle game Bejeweled 3.
