Hi everyone, i'm having a tough time with a computer i built for my father. What's happening from what he's telling me is that his LCD(19" Samsung 906 LCD) is going black for like 2 seconds and Windows is freezing where the mouse doesn't respond or anything, this problem occurs like once or twice every 2-3 hours?? It's almost like the computer goes into hybernation but in the power settings everything is set to never? I've tried 2 different video cards that i had as extras, a 6600GT and a 7800GTX but the problem still occurs, i was thinking maybe it was either the PSU or the video card. Is there something i need to check for in the bios?? Or maybe someithing in the Nvidia conrol panel?? I'm totally baffled by this problem. One thing i haven't tried yet is a different DVI cable, i highly doubt that's the problem. I would appreciate any advice you can give me..

Here are the computer specs:

AMD X2 4800
Abit AN52 socket AM2
2GB OCZ DDR800
BFG 7800GT
HEC Power 525W PSU
Samsung 19" 906 LCD
250GB Maxtor SATA HD

1. Try a different DVI or analog cable.

2. Try a different PSU, make sure the PCIe power plug is properly seated.

Good luck!
