Windows Font Problem

I have a problem with Microsoft Windows ME, when I install one of the font I download from the webpage. I couldn't change it to windows default font. Steps I have tried is, in desktop "properties\appearance" change all the "Items" to default font "MS Sans Serif" but that won't help, some pop up windows still have that web font that I download. I simply want to reset all fonts to windows default "MS Sans Serif", If you can help I really appreciated, thanks
