I am looking for an app that is like a windows explorer type. I want to be able to create folders and save and drag pictures to and from on my sd card. Is there a good free one out there or is paid the way to go?

do you mean on the phone itself, or connected to a computer? you can just use windows explorer on a computer...

on my g1 I use the linda file manager app to manage data on internal memory/sdcard

I use a program called AndroZip. Its small, free, and spartan. Not sure if it's what you will like though. Lets you make folders, copy/cut/paste/delete files and move them around on the phone, interface is pretty simple and straight forward, and it opens .zip files which can be handy.

edit: I have since changed to using the ES File Explorer app. It is pretty nice, lots of features, isn't cluttered and lets you connect directly to a remote server over WiFi

Is there one you can recommend over another? I'm just looking for a program that lets you copy/cut/past/delete/move files and folders. I am pretty much interested in doing just on the memory card portion of the phone to organize all the stuff. Is there also a program that does that but allows it to be password protected?

I like ES File Explorer at the moment. Doesn't have an option to lock folders though that I can see. There are others on the market that do it though
