Windows Explorer question

I have this folder for all the music albumz i download. Before i formatted, every album i downloaded into that folder would display in "List" form when i double click the folder to open it.

I'm not sure what i did back then to make it default to the "List" method, but it made viewing the contents of the foldermuch easier. Now, whenever i download something into my music album folder, it's displayed initially in "Large Icons" format. Forcing me to manually go in and switch it to "List" for each album. It can get annoying.

Does anyone know how i can make the default VIEWing mode as "List" instead of "Large Icons"? Without effecting all the other folders on my system (i.e. going to Tools ---> Folder Options, and setting ALL my folders to "List", i only want my mp3 folder like that).

I hope this makes some sense 😉

I know this works in Win2000 and WinXP, but not sure on Win9x Os's...

First, go to View and select Details

Next, spread the colums to the width you like

Third, Click on Tools then Folder Options

In the new window go to the view tab, then make sure that Remember Each Folders View Settings is UNCHECKED

Click Apply

Then, one that same screen click the Apply To All Folders at the top

That's it...shouldn't even see big icons again 😀

UPDATE: It's late and I didn't see that you wanted that to only work on the MP3's folder...don't do anything I just said then! LOL!
