I had done a clean install of WinME and did the updates, but when I opened the Windows Explorer to do some file mgt I found to my surprise the left window where the drives and files are shown (root directories) was blank but the other side had just the documents folder and one other...? I cant seem to find out how to get it to display the drives or any of the other resources (control panel, recycle bin.... and so on...)

Please help... (BTW this is on the GF`s PC and she was not to happy... )

I also posted this in the OS forum but really need help like now...! 😀

In the View menu of Explorer make sure that the "Explorer Bar" menu option has "Folders" ticked in its submenu.

Still currently have this problem but did notice this happened after installing the critical update from MS...? (has happened on another PC of mine...)

On the left side where the drives & various items are supposed to be its just blank with an "X" in the top right corner which closes it and makes the left side which has nothing but the contents of "My Documents" in it (the folders that is...) You can go up one level and get everything to come up on the left but the right remains blank no matter what...

Any insight into this like registry setting or something please LMK...

thanks for any and I mean any help...
