Windows experience tool/evaluator for Vista..

Curious as to how it would run on a value laptop I picked up.. The one I'm looking for is where it assigns the numerical values to the CPU/graphics, etc. I know it can run it, but like to know how it would compare to others that vista is already on..

Gotcha, but the value lappy is using XP.. I was hoping to get a d/l version of that perhaps to tell me how it would score the laptop before I installed vista..

There is no standalone version of WEI. But you can download Windows Upgrade Advisor- this tool will check your hardware and software and tells you whether you can run vista or not.

got that one, was just curious if that experience part was available as standalone, guess not.. Just have to try the disc on the laptop and see 🙂
