Windows Displaying Drives i Dont Have

Formless

Member
I Have 2 DVD Drives (D: and E) but when i go into my computer it displays a third drive which i dont have ( G) and it also displays a floopy Drive which i dont have.

How do I get rid of them, i know its not a major problem but its annoying.
Thanks for any Help.

do you have a bootable cd in your cd drive? i had my motherboard cd in my drive when i booted once and i guess it created a virtual floppy drive which showed up in windows. how about virtual cd software? alcohol? daemon tools?

the floppy is displayed because it is enabled in the bios i would think. do you have any virtual cd drive apps installed? that would explain G:, or maybe a network drive someone connected to? check the device manager and see if it is seeing a 3rd device and what it is called if so.
