"Windows - Delayed Write Failed" during heavy I/O

I have a hard drive that gets these errors alot during heavy use. I replaced it with another drive and now that drive gets the same errors. None of my other drives have this problem. I have switched the cable and I still get it. There's another drive on the same bus that doesn't have any problems like this. What causes these errors?

OS is Windows 2000 Pro.
