Windows Defender won't update!

When i try to update after about 2 min i get this error: 0x80240022. The wrong diskette in in the drive. insert %2 (volume serial number: %3) into drive %1.

I have no clue what that even means. I only have 1 HDD if that helps at all or even means anything. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Defender is really buggy at this stage. I've seen computers fail to update or update fine on all types of software and hardware platforms. Your best bet is to just give up on this beta until MS fixes it.

Try this: Link (Havent tried it myself)

I read somewhere that Defender uses Automatic Updates to update itself. When I was having this problem, I turned on Auto Updates, then tried to update Defender and after a few goes it seemed to work.

Yes, Windows Defender can be a little recalcitrant on some systems. Not sure why. It gave me fits on just one of my four systems. If you follow the link to the associated Microsoft newsgroup in the Help | About dialog of the application and do a little research there you should be able to sort out that problem.
