Windows Crash When Open a Folder

Recently, I have just downloaded some tutorial videos from website and store it into one folder. But the problem is when I tried to open the folder (in thumbnails mode), windows encounter an error and crash. Later, I found that it is because of the xvidcore.dll that causes the crash. With the folder in icons display mode, I have no problem open the folder. But as soon as I click on the video file, the error occur again (because Windows is trying to show the detail and preview the image of the video at the side there). One thing to note is that my player has no problem to play all the videos in that folder.

So, I am asking here, is there a way to prevent the windows from encounter the error when I open folder and click on the video files? Thanks.
