Hi,

I've been having a major problem with my system.

I've had the system for at least 2 years now, and haven't encountered this problem until last weekend and it keeps coming back every time i play a game or just use Chrome... (randomly).

Windows will crash. It will just freeze, and I'll have to manually reboot (alt+ctl+del doesn't work).

When it reboots, I get a Missing BootMGR error.

When I goto BIOS, my main drive (Crucial M4) is missing. Once I reboot again, and goto BIOS, it will reappear, but not as first priority so i have to shuffle around my boot priority.

Any ideas? =/

Ahh the stupid 5200 hrs bug...
I didnt think about it. I read about that bug when I bought the drive but thought I might be Lucky and not have it...

The first thing to do would be to remove your overclock and see if you are still having the problem, but it could just be the 'bug' cropping up.

I'm almost certain it's the 'bug'... during my IT courses last year, we had 256gb M4 drives in our machines and almost all of them exhibited this problem. I suggested a firmware update, and once flashed we didn't see the problem again. Worth a shot!
