I found this program (SUCATREG.EXE) tried to access the internet when I went to System Properties, and clicked on the Device Manager tab. Does anyone know why this program seeks internet access?

That file is a normal windows file used for driver signing, BUT flavors if it infected with the Win32/Magistr.24876 virus are circulating.

apparently, sucatreg.exe is a normal file located in windows for driver signing...but....!, there are rumors of a virus floating around called sucatreg.exe....Now, if you receive this as an attachment in email, chances are it's the bad one!

have you received any strange attachments lately?

I heard about this virus when I searched the file on Google, but I don't have the symptoms of the virus; lock-ups, etc.

Nope, no attachments.

Can anyone with ZoneAlarm and WinME varify that when you go to system properties, and then click on the device manager tab, that they get a program warning asking for internet access from SUCATREG.EXE?
