A while back I got a bit paranoid about the inate insecurity of early windows builds like Windows 98 and bought a license to AI Roboform in order to store and encrypt my passwords. I've been using it all the way upto Windows XP although due to me constantly installing and reinstalling my OS, I've had to contact Roboform in order to grant me more activations.
It's a huge pain because as a system builder, I'm reinstalling my OS all the time so having to request activations to a program I legally purchased seems silly.
Anyway, I noticed Vista has CardSpace and was wondering if this is a bit safer to use than previous Windows just storing personal information somewhere on the drive. The Vista Help site says it encrypts the data but I was wondering what you guys thought. Should I just put up with AI Roboform or is it ok to trust Windows to keep my passwords safe now?
