Hi, hopefully someone can help me. So I'm going to college and have to use their wifi because I live on campus. I came to campus mid way through last week and connected my laptop to the WiFi and had no issues. I come back 3 days later and my laptop automatically connects but every website or steam or anything that requires Internet says to check my proxy and firewall. If I trouble shoot it says windows cannot automatically detect proxy settings. The weird part is if I go to my college official site it connects and I can navigate around without any issues. I'm currently on Windows 8.1 thanks anyone for help in advance.

Walled garden? Do / did you have to go to some "Agreement" page initially, before you were able to connect the first time?

Try going to http://1.1.1.1/ and see if there's a sign-on page for the wifi.
