my sister just purchased a new ipod and tried to transfer some of my mp3s from my computer into her ipod. she installed the ipod software and it kept generating some error message (i have no idea what it was). now, windows cannot detect my burners and dvd-rom drives. could the ipod software have corrupted the aspi layer? i am running a win2k system. PLEASE HELP!

Have you uninstalled the ipod software?
Have you checked Device Manager for the optical drives?
Have you checked the system BIOS for recognition of the optical drives?
