I installed linux on an already win 2000 installation and dual boot with linux GRUB boot loader. Is it possible to use boot.ini file from windows to boot a linux partition? I understand that i will have toc hange the boot sector for thehd so that it willl normally boot windows 2k. but how do i modify boot.ini to boot a linux partition?

Yes there is a way to do it. I think there may even be a FAQ here. If not, Google has one (on a site called something like whitedog something or other).
