Problem: When the computer idles for a while, 10~15 min, it automatically restarts itself.

I'm using Windows XP Professional sp2.

I'm not sure when this problem began since I don't use that machine often.
And I just realized it this morning and then this evening too.

It could be several things. The first thing that comes to mind is that the computer is giving BSOD's and XP is set by default to automatically reboot on BSOD. Follow these steps to turn off this feature:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
2. Go to Advanced
3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

You should also check the event viewer to see what caused the BSOD and post that information here.

If it is not being caused by BSOD's, it could be the PSU, we need to know the hardware that you have in that box.
