Well right now I'm using Win 98SE because it has support for USB and AGP...but I found out that with USBSupp.exe Win 95B has support for USB and AGP as well.

So I've been considering going back to Win95B because it's less bloated and has less useless stuff (case in point: Task Manager systray app, yay what a useful thing). If I install IE5 Win95B basically becomes Win98SE.

So now there is also this new windows coming.

Which would you use?

I use Win95C OSR2.5. Almost the same as Win95B, although it has a 2nd USB patch which fixes a few things Win95B does not. Fast, stable, not bloated (much)....

I've been using ME for a day or so, no crashes or problems whatsoever. Stuff like the taskbar icon are not hard to get rid of, I don't see any reason to mess with 95. I realize many people complain about 98/SE, but frankly I've never had problems with crashes, BSOD's, etc when it is installed properly and you use stable drivers. Right now I've got a dual boot with ME & 2000 Professional and I think ME feels faster, but that may be because I have a fairly marginal system for 2000, BH6, 366@550 amd 192 MB RAM.

If ME is as stable as I think, I'll probably stick with it at least until HP and Aureal drivers gety squared away for 2000.

Windows 95's USB support is problematic.
Windows 98 is NOT just Windows 95 with USB either. Some software will work in one but not the other.
