windows 98v2 upgrade

Just formatted new hard drive problem is want to install O/S 98v2 but only got upgrade CD Install ask for previous copy of windows but computer came with win95 installed no cd. Is there away round this or its £140 for new 98cd

I believe all you need is either the Setup disk from Win3.x or Win95, and insert into the A: drive when it asks, or the install CD from Win95.
 
Nope, you're going to have to "buy" the Win95 CD or the Setup(disk 1)diskette from Win 3.x or Win95, off of one of your friends for instance.
