Windows 95 & 98 will not load with CPUs fasted than 2.1g. You will an error message about NDIS.vxd, and then you will have to load in the safe mode only. There is a fix from MS. Check the MS site for Q312108 and call tech support for a free download of the "Hotfix" to fix this matter. Thanks, DEE

msg me your email addy and i will send you/anybody the updated NDIS.vxd file that fixes that problem.
its only a problem on very early version of Win98.

Yeah its a bug put in there by Micro$oft to make sure you buy a new version of windows to match your new, high speed CPU. Don't worry, the speed XP fails at is beyond 3 Ghz!!!

Seriously though, I've had problems like this when an overclock wasn't entirely stable. Upping the voltage worked for me, but I'm not sure if that was the proper solution or what. Hopefully THUG's version of the file will work for you.

jiffylube1024 this is nothing more then a simple file bug. (networking) ive had about 10 ppl ask for the file already - all 10 fixed their problem.

they get a windows halt error on bootup - saying there is a problem with NDIS.VXD file.
i had this problem myself - then i upgraded to WIN98SE. i hated XP :|
