Windows 98... "Tweakui" equiv????

*EGADS* I had to install 98se on this old laptop... *BARF*

Anyway, it's been like 12 years since I've poked around in this OS. I can't remember what that configuration utility is called? Anyone remember?

I need to Tweak this thing and get it the #&&#($% out of my house! 😀

I'm not looking for TWEAKUI. I know WTF tweakui is. There is a built in utility in 98 I'm trying to remember what it was.

Remember, this guy says that it has been 12 years since he poked around in 98SE!!!!!! Windows 95 was not even available 12 years ago!!!!!!!

how is msconfig the equiv of tweakui? they do completely different things. i can't imagine why people might have been confused. if anyone has a lack of etiquette perhaps it's you.

Your reply was completely uncalled for. Your original post CLEARLY asks for a "TweakUI equivalent" for Windows 98. Budman provided a link to TweakUI for Windows 98. Although his Google remark wasn't polite, it wasn't an unreasonable comment given your request (which appeared to be for TweakUI).

Instead of clarifying yourself politely, you took the low road and flamed him. Perhaps you should rethink your idea of "etiquette."

The equivalent to Tweakui is Tweakui, there is NO built in program in W98 that does all that Tweakui does.

First learn how to ask a question properly before you post, his answer was the correct one from your question.
