I suppose calling Microsoft and asking about the status of your order is too much to ask? Or checking your credit card statements to see if it was charged to your card and when? And if it was charged, but not received within a reasonable amount of time, have you tried calling the credit card company to dispute charges?

Its pretty rare to find a windows upgrade on a warez ftp... and even if I did, i wouldn't trust my operating system to those virus-infested things.

I've heard good things about MS Support... start dialing.

Wow, now that's one heck of a system you got there. Must have cost you a few dollars to build... so spend a little more and buy the full blown Windows 98SE. It's still out there on CD.

Taylorm,
I'm not aware of a Microsoft's offering of Windows 98 SE upgrade for $20. They have a service pack CD for Windows 98SE.

On the other hand, Microsoft has been known to offer something in their own website, you'll even get a confirmation number but will never show up at your door. When Microsoft is called about it, they simply said that the item was a mistake and that the card was never charged. I'm talking about Windows 2000 Advanced Server offered & ordered for $299 before they officially launch the product.

Tell us your location and we can probably direct you to the nearest retailer/provider or computer show where you might find what you're looking for!

Ummm...I bought Win98SE upgrade at CompUSA about 4 months ago. I've never been to a store that sells software where I haven't seen it.
