I have an IBM Aptiva which I am getting ready to upgrade with a Fong Kai FK320 case and ABit SH6 motherboard (the guts are good, the PSU, case, and MB suck!).
Knowing that it's not the best idea, I'm planning on just deleting the old MB resources and moving the HD to the new system.
In case that doesn't work, I'm preparing to re-install windows. Unfortunately, since resellers are cheap, I don't have any sort of install medium other than "recovery CDs." So, I burned a copy of a Windows 98 CD. When I was writing down my serial number, I noticed that it containd the letters "OEM" instead of 3 numbers. Will a retail copy of Windows98 still let me install with this number, or am I going to be forced to buy a new copy of 98, or 2000?
Thanks guys!
