Windows 98 Print Spooler won't work at High Mhz

I am trying to print Postscript separation files on a T-Bird at 750 Mhz. They spool and then delete. If I slow the machine down to 500 Mhz every thing works fine. If I turn off print spooler, everything works fine. The T-Bird is a 750 and not overclocked for this. Any one have similar problem? The printer is a HP5000. And I am running a brand new enhanced printer cable. (I alreay tried that)
