Windows 98 Error Message

Dear folks,

Hi! Sorry to trouble you all.

Recently I am encountering this Windows 98 problem. The Windows has been prompting me with this blue sreen with the following message, during startup or when I'm in the middle of playing games or doing work on the computer :

"An exception 0D has occurred at 0028:C00015D9 in VxD VMM(01) + 000005D9.
This was called from 0028😀D803C0B in VxD ENABLE4(01) + 000000DB. It may
be possible to continue normally."

I am not a computer-man and I have no idea what language this comes from. I followed the Windows Help files on VxD, but it did not work. The Windows stills hang everytime.

Can someone please help me? I hate it when it hangs in the middle of my Diablo 2 exp game.

Thanks very much for your time and consideration.

Windows 9x is notorious for these. You may want to try some driver updates, and possibly do a windows update to see if anything needs to be updated there. Worse comes to worse, you can reformat and reinstall 98. If this still doesn't work, may be a hardware problem.

Sounds like some kind of video card issue...
Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

If it is an AGP card, is there another device in your first PCI slot (right under the AGP slot) ? If so, move that device to another slot lower down on your mobo.
