Would win95 be okay to use on an older laptop. What security risks or other issues may come up? The laptop is only a P-133 w/ 80mb ram.

There's probably little a laptop so old could do with an OS newer then Win95 anyways. With a P-133 and 80mb of ram, an OS like WinME or WinXP would kill the laptop.

I'd suggest sticking with Win95 if you're going to use that laptop.

As for security, most hackers spend their time on finding loopholes in WinXP. I doubt there's many viruses or hacks that will be targetting a Win95 laptop. I wouldn't worry too much about security on such a system (but that's me).

win95 is safe to use as long as it is not connected to a network. in this configuration (IMHO) I would recommend Linux.

All computer are subject to security risk when hook up to the internet, however it shouldn't be much of a problem for online use. Most of the exploit are IE exploit therefore using an IE 3.0 or Netscape 3.0 shouldn't get you into too much of a trouble. There are other exploit such as macros, but that also isn't a problem if you don't use Word or Outlook/Outlook Express.
