Windows 95 product key

How can I find the product key ? I lost the book, and that where the key is.
 
I should also say, I don't have it installed. I just have the original CD.

Then I would say you're SOL. Your only alternative is find the book, or use less than legal means to get a key.
 
I don't remember how many digits the Win95 keys were, but it it matches the length, try using the number for 800 information - "8005551212". That number worked with a number of MS products that asked for keys of that length. 🙂

That said, if I look around I think I can come up with a 95 key book or two for the cost of shipping.

I needed a DOS based system once to try recover some ancient backup tapes. Win95 was the last supported O/S. I didn't end up able to recover the data, but I got to play around with my old friend Win95(tedious :^P)
