My CD Burner doesn't want to burn in W2k anymore (it's almost dead) and it works in Win98 still...
My burning machine is a server, I usually burn a CD every now and then (about one per week maybe).
I have a web/ftp/mail server on that machine, and it usually sits in its corner most of the time.
I was wondering if it would somehow be stable if I run Win95/98 on that machine. Remember, the only apps installed are my web server (OmniHTTPd), my FTP (Serv-U 3), my mail server (I don't remember the name, but it's compatible with Win95/98/2000), an UT Dedicated Server.... and MSN Messenger.
Security in the OS isn't an issue because the computer is behind a router. As long as the apps are secure, it should be okay.
Basicly, I want to know if it should run well if I leave it in its corner and use it to burn every now and then.
Thanks
Guillaume
