Windows 8 with Power 8 question

W8 is just unusable in stock configuration so I downloaded Power 8 which returns the start menu and is said to add the ability to block metro features. I've got a check mark in the box next to "Block Metro features" but they still seem to pop up, almost at random. Oh it is the charms bar that pops up most often but sometimes it is other stuff...

When this happens the mouse freezes for a few seconds and then goes back to acting normally.

I shut off the tap to click feature of the touch-pad but this still happens.

How to I make it stop!

You should be asking this question to Power 8 support since they will have far more knowledge about their product.

Good idea.

I guess I was hoping there was another way without using Power 8.

I think Power 8 cuts off the "corner" method of calling up the charms bar, which is a good start.

Now I need to get rid of the "gesture" way as well...
