Are there any out there yet? I don't need a 10" tablet, I'd settle for 7" but I haven't been able to find any with that resolution. I don't mind having RT, but would prefer an Atom for x86 use, even in a slow form.

Thanks for any suggestions!

OP wants LESS than 10". Your link is for a 10.1" tablet.

OP, I don't think that you'll be seeing any until 8.1 RT drops.
I need to buy it in the next week, so I suppose that 10+ inches can't be helped. Any other suggestions then? What about the ideapad lynx vs the one linked above?

I don't really know much about Win8 tablets, with regards to which may be better than the other.

The 8" Acer Iconia w3 is currently the only sub 10" Windows tablet.

And given it's cost, I opted to get an Asus VivoTab 10". It's a bit bigger than I wanted, but it's priced right and works very well. Just got it yesterday :)

Waiting on a case for it now!

I hear the screen on the Acer W3 is horrible, not even IPS, had bad viewing angles. Not sure why Acer still puts non-IPS displays in tablets. But my dreams of an 8 inch tablet got crushed by Acer.

I has a Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500 last year, but found it too heavy and the glossy plastic back too slippery, so returned that.

I tried the ASUS VivoTab ME400 last year as well. Dang driver update tool would not work and customer support was so unhelpful, I ended up returning it in frustration. Though it seemed like an okay tablet once I got pasted the rough feeling plastic edges.

The Lenovo Lynx is on sale for $380 now. So I wanted to give this tablet a try. I was thinking of avoiding the 11.6 inch size, but for this price I had to give it a chance. Apparently Lenovo hasn't updated the drivers for this tablet since last November and there is no BIOS update, I find this really strange as I'm sure the other Atom tablets have gotten quite a few driver updates over the months. Seems like Lenovo isn't supporting this tablet at all. Damn, I might end up returning it just for this fact. Also it feels like this tablet was designed in 2010, has flat thick edges instead of the typical tapered edges everyone else uses in the modern age. And you need a tool to insert or remove the micro SD card because it's inserted so far into the tablet, weird.
