Windows 8 stuck after the Windows Wheel loading screen

I recently upgrade my BIOS from within windows 8.😳
Aaand it WAS stuck in the windows 8 boot wheel. And it showed the BSOD of windows 8 right after that. Startup repair could not fix that.I tried all parameters of Bootrec.exe....restore points...Nothing worked.

But I tried going into safe mode, which it did. Then ,I restarted my PC and booted into normal mode. It booted. Could someone explain to me what just happened?
I am really curious to know what really happened.
^_^

Or Did BDC command in bootrec work and I didn't know? (Coz I just tried FixMbr And FixBoot and it did not work and I restoredBdc and booted to safe mode). Is this what making win8 boot?

in what mode is your HD controller running ahci/sata/ide/raid/esata? did you make any changes while reinstalling/upgrading OS?

it was always running in sata mode only.
I flashed the bios not through instant flash(Pressing del key during BIOS start) but through an exe file in windows, which required a restart. There are some post in tomshardware advising against it. idk why. But I did it anyway.

To answer your question : I never changed it. It was always in SATA mode.

Try changing to AHCI and reinstall windows, that should take care of it. Symptoms are very similar to a problem I had and that my solution, reason? don't remember,

The offical microsoft windows forums suggested the same thing. But I am not saying the problem is not solved.(As I posted in the first post, it infact fixed itself).
But I want to know what really happened.

I did not change the Disk operation mode to Host controller interface, because i feared it might not boot windows at all.

I tried bootrec.exe/FixMbr , /FixBoot and all that.
Nothing happened. Then once I logged into safe mode, and restarted, Voila, Windows booted right up.

I want to know what really was the issue.
