After installing Windows 8 today, Microsoft made a huge mistake of dropping the start button. Locating your apps using Metro has become a major hassle. A company called RetroUI has solved the problem, unfortunately there app is not free.

The Start menu is back and better than ever! Touch-friendly, pinned favorites, and integrated Metro features make using Window 8 more efficient and far easier.
The app costs $5.00. There is a free trial, was able to test it out and it works great.
Since we already have a thread on Win8 start menu replacements let's try to keep everything to that one thread
