windows 8 - search not working properly

so in a folder i have a bunch of videos. some with 720p in the file name, the others with 1080p. i search for 720p and the stupid thing shows me all the files but just highlights the "720p" part of the filename making the search useless for me (i just want to select all and move elsewhere).

i disabled partial matches but no diff.

help pls?

Do a "name: 720p" search.

It will pull up only files with "720p" in the name. Of course, it would highlight that search criteria in the name as well.

Before, it would search any content meta with the 720p in it. Including file properties, etc.

It has worked like this always. Ever since the new searching is done in 8, and possibly the same in 7 (I can't remember), it searches through everything unless you give a discerning criteria.

The ribbon menu option, also has more search options upon clicking in the search text box, it would not appear unless you have done so.

Edit:

Windows 7 works in that same manner in searching as well. Search just your intended search, it shows everything where Windows can find that matching criteria. Only after entering specifics such as "name:" can one really pin-point files in searching just their filename - thus is upon just simply opening Windows Explorer and entering something in the search box.
