Hey guys!
well I have problem with my windows 8. Here is my full story. I installed windows 8.0(x64) Home "genuine" on my PC, updated it to windows 8.1 home. I wanted to upgrade 8.1 Home version to Pro. My stupid action was I took random 8.1 PRO key from internet and used it. It revoked my windows 8.1 license, and now my windows is not genuine. I was thinking if I uninstall 8.1 and reinstall windows 8.0 home again using the key I used to install 8 on my PC, will it work? or do I have to buy a new key?

It should work with your original key.

Is there any reason you want Pro? Few people need the extra features, for the most part.

Only reason I'd use pro is hypervisor, and bitlocker.

You also can't change keys from different versions like that, you need to do that on OS install.
Seems the OP wrote "genuine" as in, it isn't really genuine, so, this thread will most likely be locked.
