Windows 8 internet connection sharing

Here is my scenario:
I am using a public wifi via a Windows 8 laptop. I also have a device that needs to plug into a router to access the internet. Is it possible to configure internet connection sharing on the laptop so that items plugged into its ethernet port will be able to access the WiFi connection it's hooked up to?
