Hello:
I setup a friend of mine with Windows 8 and she instantly noticed an issue with image quality & JPEGS. After some research, apparently the fix for this is to save any images you want to use for backgrounds as .PNG. This worked a treat.
However, when surfing the web the images also have the same problem. I thought it was typical image compression on sites like facebook but this did not appear to be the case, as the images appeared fine on other non-Windows 8 devices.
Has anyone found a way to disable Windows 8's aggressive JPEG "re-"compression when browsing?
