Hi guys,

Another big problem for me on Windows 8 OS. I used to use MagicISO and MagicDisc to save some Movies clips and some sensitive files on my latop. I use MagicISO to compress the file and save with password protection use the UIF extension, when I use the file I mounted it with MagicDisc so I don't have to uncompress it as it take time and sometime leave the uncompressed file unprotected.

Now the windows 8 convertable give me and error message when I try to use MagicDisk. It say MagicDisc can't open driver(mcdbus) please make sure that Magicdisc is run as administrator. I did that and still doesn't work. any fix for this? or anyother programs can work with the UIF(iso) file under Windows 8?

Thank you.

MagicISO is outdated, and UltraISO isn't Windows 8 compatible yet. Tryout WinISO which supports both Windows 8 and MagicISO's proprietary UIF disc image format for CDs and DVDs. MagicDisc is also outdated. Instead, use SlySoft's Virtual CloneDrive to mount your ISOs. It's freeware, and also compatible with Widows 8.

Sorry. it is not working as the files are in uif extension and protected with password. The Magiciso is working and I can uncompress and read the files, buit it can't mounted it to a virtual disk without Magicdisc. Files are large can't uncompress the each time to work on them. Thank you.

Lol! I think you got lucky!...MagicISO has updated their website to include a Windows 8 compatible version of MagicISO, and MagicDisc. Let us know if they work for you.

Just a head's up. MagicISO works fine with Win8. Magic Disc still brings up the old error of "cant find/open driver (mcdbus)".

WinISO would be an alternative choice for you.

MagicISO, PowerISO, and WinISO are familiar, I've done lots of research for this kinda of tools. Frankly speaking, I like the UI of WinISO, so easy i'd like to say.
