Windows 8 and Halswell

Just wondering, if I upgrade to Win8 now (from my existing Vista) and later upgrade my CPU/MB to Halswell, do I need to get a new Win8 licence..? I've been reading that Win8 is now being sold as OEM software i.e it is not transferable from one hardware to another but I would like some confirmation.

According to this, starting with Windows 8, a System Builder license that you would purchase from a place like Newegg or Amazon lets you transfer that license between computers. An OEM license that is pre-installed on a computer you buy is never transferrable. Windows 8 no longer has what has been known in the past as a "retail" license.
