Windows 8 & 8.1 Product key?

So I have 2 different Window 8.1 key's I'm going to be re-doing my main rig's OS soon but just realized I don't remember which COA is tied to which system. I googled it but it seems every link what's me to download some sketchy program.... no thanks.

There must be a way to find out which code is which from within the install. I don't care is it only gives 2 digits as that would be enough.

Can anybody help?

Ok. After some investigative work it looks like under where it says windows is activated there is a product id code and it happens to match a string of numbers on the COA. Not the key code but a different number. Problem solved.

has a program you dl & run (not install) that shows the Microsoft keys for Windows & Office. It produces a small text file.

I forgot where I learned of it but I am careful about what I download. I ran the program last May with version 1.66 (date of my text file).

I used get_win8key today to pull the key from my Dell motherboard.

Magic Jelly Bean did this, but Nirsoft is a trustworthy source, I use his stuff all the time and have been for years.
