If your PC is on Window 8, not Win 8.1, are there any updates or enhancements that make it a must to upgrade if all you do is game and listen to music?

Thanks in advance

Every change between 8 and 8.1 makes the OS substantially better. There is literally no reason not to upgrade it, especially because it is free.

You won't get any extra FPS or higher sound fidelity though.

You might as well. I've upgraded one PC in-place without any issues. Just think of it as service pack 1 for 8.0.

There is one benefit. 8.1 has better compatibility with older games. I couldn't get Max Payne to even open on 8 so I uninstalled it and forgot about it. Read on Windows 8 Forums that 8.1 had improved compatibility with older games and the post mentioned Max Payne specifically so I reloaded, tried it, works fine.

You're a noob. Thats what I played MP3 on.

Uhh...Maybe he was talking about the original Max Payne and not the (terrible) Max Payne 3 that came out a couple of years ago?

Max Payne 1 is circa 2001 if I remember correctly.
