Windows 8.1 WiFi Keeps Dropping

Hi,

My WiFi internet connection keeps dropping erratically when I'm on Windows 8.1.

It works for 2-3 minutes and then it shows limited connectivity, randomly it sometimes start working again for a while or it doesn't connect at all. This issue happens only on Windows 8.1, I have UBUNTU on the same laptop and the WiFi works flawlessly.

My configuration -
Laptop - Acer Aspire E5-571-5552
OS- Windows 8.1
Network Adapter - Qualcomm Atheros 956x.
ISP- Time Warner Comcast - Cable Modem
Time Warner Arris Router+Modem - Model No. DG1670A02

I have tried the following things -

1. Installed latest drivers for Qualcomm Atheros Adapter from Acer's Website. (can't connect at all)
2. Tried using Qualcomm's driver within Windows. (can't connect at all)
3. Tried using Microsoft's driver for Atheros 956x.(connectivity for 5-10 minutes but keeps dropping intermittently, most reliable)
4. Tried these settings -

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable

netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

I am not able to use Wifi on windows and it's hampering my work,

Please let me know if you need any more information, I'll post it immediately.

Thanks.
