Windows 8.1 RTM to Launch in August

Doesn't Microsoft send out a polished version to OEMs every time it releases a newer OS? That way the OEMs can prep their hardware for it.
I think your thread tittle might be a bit misleading. Did you actually read the article you posted?
 
6 weeks between RTM and launch for a glorified service pack? ISOs will show up in the usual places shortly after RTM. Hopefully, they can do upgrade installs.
 
I hope they fix the stupid windows explorer bugs...I hope their working on the desktop and not just metro.. thx gl
