I installed Windows 8.1 Pro x64 (EN_GB) as a clean installation from USB stick with one of the RTM iso's from MSDN/Technet (Leaked ones, I have no sub).
As discussed in several other threads I had to use a generic installation key and changed it to my old Windows 8 key after installation.
Activation was done automatically after I restarted with the new key and everything works fine, Windows 8.1 shows up as activated.
However i'm getting event viewer errors regarding the license:
Event ID 512
Windows Store failed to sync machine licenses. Result code 0x80070002
This is logged periodically. Is it because Windows 8 isn't officially released yet or can we not use our 8.0 keys to properly activate a clean installation after all?
Anyone else getting this error?
