Windows 7 Write Cache Troubles

Hey Guys,

I have a perculiar problem. I have two WD 1.5 Green drives installed however only one of the drive had the Write Cache Enable check box ticked in the Device Manager. The second drive allows me the tick the same check box but the setting won't stick when I reboot. The HDDs are not configured in raid and are in AHCI mode using AHCI microsoft drivers. The motherboard uses AMD 780G chipset.

Not sure if it is a WD firmware issue or that the drive is failing or what. I figure if it is a driver issue then both HDD should be affected.

thx
