Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem

Windows 7 64 bit

Dlink - WDA 2320

Router is an Asus WL-520GU with Tomato Firmware

fine during sleep and lose it immediately when it wakes

this happens with both D-Link drivers and the drivers supplied with windows 7

 
Exact same problem here, and I reported it as feedback to MS. Going to look for a Broadcom adapter now.

Dell e1505 core SOLO. Ouch.

Happened to me, too. I just went the the network and sharing center, clicked on the "x" leading from my computer to the connection icon (thing), and it went through auto-troubleshooting and fixed it.
 
Actually, the first time it happened I went through that troubleshooter by accident. It fixed it that first time, but it hasn't since.

I tried seeing about the power settings in Device Mangler, and there was nothing for wireless. All the good stuff is in the Power Options snapin (are they snapins on Control Panel?) under advanced, but it still seemed like everything was normal.
 
I solved this issue by turning off power management on my Atheros wireless NIC. Device Manager -> Network adapter -> double-click your wireless NIC -> Power Management tab -> uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
 
I jumped through hoops to install my Alltel EVDO air card.. Everything worked fine..

And then I let my laptop run the battery dead (Windows put it in hibernate). When I resumed, any 'network' services no longer started and Windows Event Viewer would no longer start.. I found no information about it on the Internet.. so I just did a reinstall. Oh well..

 
I've sent feedback to MS 3 times regarding the "sleep" feature. It's completely broken. I get this network disconnect, plus sometimes some crazy screen corruption, AND I get problems with my wireless USB mouse. 🙁
 
I already tried to uncheck the power management for wifi before I found this thread here; didn't change anything for me. Losing wifi connection everytime the PC wakes up from hibernation or sleep. And this is new for me. It use to work perfectly well. have also tried to change drivers (from MS compatibility driver to Atheros), but the issue still remains.

edit: issue solved. When I said I already tried the power management trick, I didn't mention that I actually forgot to restart the PC normally after that (lol) to reload the driver, and put the machine directly into hibernation. So now that I retried, and after a reboot, wifi is not lost anymore after hibernation/sleep.
 
I'm not losing Wi-Fi, but after I "wake" my PC up from hibernation, it loses my LAN connection & I get the BSOD eventually while it's trying to "repair" it.
 
try to uncheck the power management setting in your Local Area Connection config, and see what it does when your pc wakes up. Weird, as the bug normally affected wi-fi only, and it's solved in 7/RC.

edit: yeah, windows is always trying to repair a connection when it's down; even if it succeeds, it doesn't mean the issue is solved for good. Oh sorry, I misread, that's when you get the bsod...no idea why...you must have a minidump file and a report giving an explanation.
