Hey all,

A while back I installed Windows 7 on the womans laptop. I also have windows 7 on my computer. And I only recently noticed that on my computer the wireless icon is just the 5 bars. But on the womans, there is the 5 bars not colored in white with like this orange spikey ball thats there. The internet works fine and when I click troubleshoot nothing comes up.

Im just wondering as to why this icon is there

Thanks
Matt

The White bars are also sort of Signal Strength indicator less than five means weaker signal. If the is orange exclamation mark mean Unprotected Wireless connection.

The " Orange Spikey Ball " means that there are connections available, but they are not connected wirelessly. If you place the pointer over the icon does it say " wireless connections available ". If connected it should not be there.

Disconnect your wireless by opening up the Network and sharing center and disconnect your wireless connection and you should see the spikey ball thingy.
